A Mind of Her Own

SWI is hosting a series of Roundtables on being a woman philosopher — past or present — to reflect on the unique situation of women thinkers in a world in which intellectual authority is claimed by men. This situation has been both suffocating and liberating for women, a contradiction our series seeks to address.

A Mind of Her Own Roundtables will contribute to the explosive interest in recovering and promoting the philosophical work women have accomplished throughout history, and in transforming the way we do philosophy in the academy.
